Strong rumours that he's not happy with his deeper role in the team, and could maybe try to get a move away.
Difficult one this. You can't hold a player like Rice back, however there's no doubt that Soucek is more of a goal threat. And if he was playing his favoured role, we'd have more chance of keeping Soucek long term.
Wonder what his value would be?

Yep, I'm seeking attention on a football messageboard with a load of fellow sad cunts who have no idea who I am.
You file it as you see necessary, it's a strong rumour flying about that is to do with West Ham and football, so I assumed a West Ham football messageboard might be the place for it.

ED - whether these rumours ate true or not, I've no doubt you've seen them and aren't making it up BTW.
Hasn't Soucek had quite a few opportunities to score and just not been as clinical as last season.
I was surprised with how well he took his goal yesterday, last season I would have been surprised if he didn't score, isn't he just going through a barren patch and hopefully through it now?

Yeah, he's not been as clinical, but there's no doubt he's playing a lot more withdrawn in general this season.

We should go back to last season, Rice holding and let Soucek go forward. Thats the best configuration for the team.
I dont buy that he is unhappy or wants to move away. Looked happy enough yesterday to me.
